Production start estimate late 2020/Q1 2021. Cost TBD.

———

This past November at SEMA 2019, we showed the prototype chassis with a 750 HP V12LS engine that makes 700 lb.-ft. torque and displaces 9.5L!

The chassis will accept small block Ford crate engines and modular Ford Engines as well as the LS-series of engines… and now this exciting V12 American power plant.

The car is almost 80 wide and only 46 high.

Give mine a Voodoo.

Here the V12:

Hnnnng.  Resembles the Italdesign Zerouno a bit on the nose and I think a Voodoo in a 2400lb car would be pretty ideal.

I wonder if it will live up to the renderings. The 818 that I saw recently was really rough. Not sure if the builder wasn’t great or if the kit is missing the polish .

I assume the cost and quality of this will be much higher than the 818.

9.5L V12.

Holy crap.

Haha, yeah I found it too.

If it were me I’d go with the aluminum alloy engine block option.  Displacement drops to 9.2L...but man, an iron block LSV12 sounds soooo heavy.

I was really excited when the frame pictures came out for SEMA, but I’m not sold on the body.

If it lose s the wing and you paint some of the cladding body color it would clean it up a bit.

It is very interesting that they are going to be delivering the bodies 100% ready in carbon fiber though. Makes me wonder if they will eventually offer carbon Cobras/Coupes/hot rods.

I bet they’d sell you one without the body. =)

Apparently the Voodoo’s not actually available in a crate from Ford...

The frame is just a derivative of their Type 65 Coupe, so I would rather just have that. I was wondering years ago if you could set up a contract with them for frames and sell “coachbuilt” bodies to put on them. Let them do all the hard work engineering the frames and running gear.

Yeah, the 65 Coupe is a beauty.

I’m sure they’d be willing to provide frames, etc., if someone wanted to do bespoke bodies.

The body is, uh, a little weird. All that bla ck plastic is tacky.

But that motor...mmmmm.....

In a quasi-unrelated aside, I was browsing over on the FFR user forum the other night.  I can’t fathom starting yet another car from scratch at the moment, but there’s quite a large number of almost finished FFRs of various styles over there that the owners got in over their skis on.  I’d love an 818C or 818R and there’s several ways to get an almost finished one for quite a discount on the sweat-and-toil involved.  I’m intrigued.

Not yet.  I haven’t seen the Recruitment member post for awhile though. I think he had some life setbacks and hasn’t had much time, so I’m not sure who to drop a message to.
